Pride in Houghton is run by unpaid volunteers and we need your help to make pride happen!
It's rewarding, exciting and important! Help make Pride in Houghton a even more event for the community and get those warm fuzzy feelings knowing you made it happen.
We've worked really hard to keep Pride a free event for everyone to attend (not just those who can afford it) but this means we rely on people to donate and we need a more people collecting those donations for us.
JOIN THE PARADE
The Pride in Houghton Parade brings the spirit of Pride with a pedestrian parade tracing a route through the centre of Houghton Regis to Village Green forming a spectacle of noise and colour that cannot be missed. The parade provides an opportunity for groups, organisations or individuals to show their support for Pride and the ongoing campaign for equality.
The Pride Parade starts from outside Go Houghton go round Park side drive onto sundown road, then right onto tithe farm road. Ending at the green from 11am. We make our way through Houghton Regist to the Village Green in time for opening at 12 noon.
MARKETPLACE
The Marketplace is in an integral part of the Pride in Houghton festival. Centrally located within the festival site and heavily frequented by visitors throughout the day, the Marketplace area gives organisations and businesses the opportunity to engage and communicate with LGBTQ+ communities.
Whether you are a non-profit group keen to increase community awareness of the services and support you provide, or a commercial organisation wishing to showcase and sell your products to a new audience, we have a package to suit your needs and budget.
